From disciple to the mind of Christ to the mind of God

“Let this thought be in you, who was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, did not think that being equal with God was robbery; rather he emptied himself, and took the form of a servant,” Philippians 2: 5-7

The Hon. Louis Farrakhan, God’s modern man among us, has taught us the importance of not only knowing and quoting the Scriptures, but also understanding and applying them to modern times.

Proverbs 4: 7 testifies to the importance of understanding

“Wisdom is the main thing; therefore, acquire wisdom; and with everything you acquire, acquire understanding.”

The Hon. Louis Farrakhan has given us a correct knowledge of the Bible and our place in it as black men / women and also how our experience of slavery (Genesis 15: 13-14 and 1 Peter 2: 9-10) was part of God’s plan to painfully test a people, purifying them and preparing them to be saviors of his people and of the entire world. Undeserved suffering is redemptive!

“Therefore, you delivered them into the hand of their enemies, who afflicted them; and in the time of their distress, when they cried out to you, you heard them from heaven; and according to your many mercies you gave them saviors who saved them. hand of his enemies. “ Nehemiah 9:27

Most importantly, he has given us the knowledge that human beings can grow to reflect the greatness of God in his person. “You are all God’s children of the Most High God. ” (Psalm 82: 6) This is not Judeo-Christian polytheism or eluding Islam … we fully recognize that only God, the Supreme Creator, is worthy of worship and a human being, no matter how great, he only works with the power and permission of the Supreme Creator, God. . .

The Hon. Elijah Muhammad said that if we really knew Jesus, we would wake up overnight. Jesus, from the biblical perspective, was a man who was able to overcome the vicissitudes of life and achieve unity with God. He stated: “I and my father are one” John 10:30 … This just means that through struggle, pain, and discipline, Jesus was able to unite his mind, will, and purpose with God and thus became a perfect official of God’s will on earth.

Some might say that it is contrary to Islam, Hadith and the Qur’an. Let’s see … ALLAH says in Hadith Qudsi, the sacred hadiths, “My servant does not approach Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties that I have entrusted to him, and My servant continues to approach Me with supererogatory works so that I love him. When I love him, I am His. that he hears, his seeing with what he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks “.(Hadith Qudsi 25) This is the Islamic teaching that is in harmony with the teaching of Jesus: my father and I are One.

This is understanding Jesus correctly, that through his life and example we can find inspiration to grow from disciples (discipline) to the mind of Christ and, therefore, to the mind of God.

We must first discipline ourselves by fully submitting to God and being obedient. This is the uphill road and / or the struggle of life. By being obedient to God, by following his will, we begin to become familiar with his mind and thinking. Thus we begin to function from a higher level. This is the mind of Christ (The anointed) incipient in men and women. Finally, from the level of Christ we grow to the level of God by overcoming the weakness of the flesh, totally surrendering our mind to the mind of God and never leaving the recognition that all praises belong to God, the Lord of the worlds. .

This is just one example of how Farrakhan can take a people who are considered nothing by the world, train them with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, and make them teachers of the world.

“I thank you, oh Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you hid these things from the wise and learned and revealed them to children” Luke 10:21
