How to Build a Fight Club Body Like Brad Pitt

In the movie Fight Club, Brad Pitt had an average build in terms of muscular size, but his muscle tone was outstanding! In fact, if he’s been lifting weights for any length of time, he probably has more muscular size than Brad Pitt did in Fight Club. Women seem to prefer this body type to an overly muscular body almost 100% of the time. If you want to impress the guys at the gym, then by all means gain a ton of muscle mass. If you want to impress women then go for that lean Fight Club look.

Don’t be fooled… It’s harder to lose weight than it is to gain weight!

The guys at the gym never cease to amaze me. They are very impressed by those big bodybuilding guys who lift heavy weights, but have very little tone. I hear it all the time…”that guy can bench 6 reps of 405″…”that guy has 20 inch arms”…etc. Most of these big guys never get body fat percentages low enough to see great muscle tone. I keep my body fat levels at 6% year round and I don’t get a lot of respect from the guys at the gym, but the girls pay me a lot of attention. Honestly, getting great requires very little self-discipline. If you lift progressively heavier weights in the 6-12 rep range and eat like a pig, you will get big!

Getting too big will make you look cutesy!

I hate to tear up bodybuilders so much, but can we retire the Everlast clown pants? Seriously, you have to know what I’m talking about. What about those guys who wear those spandex pants or tank tops that they cut to make them smaller? Is there a worse group when it comes to style than bodybuilders? Style is very important for women. If you grow too big, then you can’t even wear regular jeans. Big guys also look stupid when they try to dress up. You can never look GQ or hip if you’re too big. Don’t be mad at me if you’re big, I’m just here to help you.

A simple plan to get a slim “fight club body”.

I hope I have persuaded a few people to lose the clown pants and return to a reality where women will talk to you again. It’s simple, but not easy, to get a Fight Club body. I would recommend workouts with just 20 minutes of lifting followed by 40-60 minutes of cardio. Be sure to start your cardio session with high-intensity interval training. If you don’t know how to do cardio like that, google that term. Low intensity cardio only works to get you down to 10-12% body fat. If you want to really tone up, you’ll have to do hard cardio. As for food, do not be obsessed with protein. You don’t need a ton of protein to maintain a lean body. The main thing is to keep the total calories consumed below what you burn. I weigh about 185 pounds and eat about 1500-1800 calories per day spread over 3 meals. Every time I do the 6 meal approach, I can’t keep the calories low enough to lose body fat. If you can eat 6 smaller meals and keep the calories down, then you can use that approach.

This is to achieve a Fight Club Corps!
