Rhodes faliraki

Faliraki is like a large amusement park, with a large multiethnic crowd tirelessly seeking pleasure, day and night, in the morning on the famous beach with its striped umbrellas, at night on the narrow streets with its striking neon lights. and loud noises. Water battles to the bone in the impressive water park, races on the go-kart track, liters of beer in the little bars on Ermou Street, queues in front of the big clubs on the main boulevard.

Faliraki, one of the island’s liveliest coastal resorts, has two different sides: on the one hand, the large luxury hotels with their private beaches and a wide range of facilities, on the other, the bustling city center with your jewelers and Irish pubs. , ethnic restaurants (Italian, Indian, Chinese, Mexican) and constant movement. Ermou St., which runs down to the sea from the main road, is where most of the bars are located, as well as youth clothing boutiques, jewelry stores, and fast food outlets. At the end of the street is the famous Chaplin’s, the best known of all the beach bars on the island and one of the few places where you might see some Greek faces. In general, the area is invaded by the British. In the surroundings of the city there are facilities for a wide range of activities (go-karts, amusement park, mini football, etc.) as well as all kinds of clubs, including a live striptease show.

At the end of Ermou St., opposite Chaplin’s, you will find the taxi rank and the first aid center. This is also where the miniature train departs for the city tour. If you’ve had enough of the crowds, the closest escape is Profitis Amos, on the road to Rhodes town outside of Faliraki. There, in a beautiful clearing in the forest, with peacocks strutting, you will find a quiet tavern where you can eat good food and enjoy the view of the brilliantly lit Faliraki in the distance.
