Lower screen resolution

You are experiencing a low FPS issue due to a higher screen resolution. Lower the screen resolution to resolve the issue to some extent.

For earlier versions of Windows:

1. Click the Start button, select Control Panel.
2. Click Appearance and Personalization | Adjust the screen resolution.
3. Use the dropdown box to select a lower resolution.
4. Click Apply. Click the Keep button, if you don’t experience any display issues. If you are not comfortable with the new resolution, click the Revert button.

For Windows 8:

1. Press the Windows key.
2. Type “Adjust screen resolution” in the search box.
3. Click the Settings icon.
4. Open it from the search results.

Change process priority to high

Change the process priority to high. It will increase FPS.

For earlier versions of Windows:

1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del.
2. Click Task Manager.
3. Click the Processes tab.
4. Right click on the game. Select Set Priority | High.

For Windows 8:

1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, click Task Manager on the new screen.
2. Click the Details tab.
3. Right-click on the affected process, select Set Priority | High.

increase virtual memory

Virtual memory is the amount of hard disk that is used to process data when the actual RAM does not have enough memory. Increase virtual memory to fix if FPS games drop on your PC.

For Windows 8 and earlier versions:

1. Right-click on the My Computer desktop icon.
2. Select Properties.
3. Click the Advanced System Settings link and then the Advanced tab.
4. Click Settings (under Performance) and then the Advanced tab again.
5. Click Change (Virtual Memory).
6. Clear the “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives” check box.
7. Select the drive where your game is installed. For example: drive C:
8.Select the “Custom Size” option. Enter a quantity greater than the existing one. (The existing size is shown in the “Currently Allocated” label at the bottom.)
9. Click Set and then OK three times.
10. It is mandatory to reboot the system.
