Astrology in a holographic universe

Physicist David Bohm, among others, thinks that we could live in a universe that is simply a holographic projection of a reality that exists outside of our universe. This idea certainly supports the Vedic idea that what we see is maya or illusion, as well as the shamanic or pagan idea that we live in a dream world, reality existing outside of our dream. Today, holographic projections are fleeting and static, nothing like the very real, solid, living, breathing, loving universe we see around us. There would have to be some complex holographic mechanism that would allow for the creation of our universe as we experience it, something that is archetypal, perhaps even mythological.

If we live in a holographic universe, then we must ask what kind of mechanism would be required for such a universe to exist. The zodiac, the universal mythological sacred circle of animals or animating principles, would be that mechanism. I say this because we could live in a twelve-sided dodecahedral universe.

Many have noticed that the cosmic microwave background radiation, the energy left over from the Big Bang, has small spikes over wide areas of the skies. A smooth circular expanding universe should give us a smooth background.

In 2003, French astronomer Jean Pierre-Lumet of the Paris Observatory, together with an international group of astronomers, published in the journal Nature their findings that the universe could be finite, about 30 billion light-years across, with twelve slightly curved pentagonal sides, much like a football. This is significant. By having twelve sides, our universe could easily have some powerful astrological qualities and connections. It could be that our universe is built on some kind of intelligence that has incorporated certain important astrological laws into it.

In addition to space having a possible astrological structure, time reveals similar astrological connections. The astrological ages are precise enough to indicate an involved astrological template directing human history over long periods of time. With this in mind, the zodiac is presented as a perfect mechanism to describe a holographic universe like ours. It is implicit in the structure of space and is revealed in the structure of time and astrological ages.

It would look like this. Being a finite universe, we can assume for the sake of this exercise, that there is a marked space for the creation of a physical universe perhaps within a much larger area of divine or celestial existence. A mental zodiac is established which acts as a creative template for the physical creation. From this megaverse, a ray of Mother/Father light, containing information about reality and manifestation, descends to a point at the edge of this zodiac. This light then splits into two rays, a Mother ray and a Father ray. The Mother ray is reflected at a 90 degree angle from the Father ray. This Mother ray, which contains information and knowledge related to the Goddess, revolves around the zodiac. There are twelve equal parts in the Mother ray. In each of the twelve astrological windows, one of these twelve rays is reflected and diffused through the prism of each animated window towards the center of the zodiac. Each window imparts living qualities to this essential light for a physical universe.

The astrological zodiac contains two parts that are important to this concept. Originally, the original seven planets ruled the twelve astrological signs. In ancient times, the sign Taurus was naturally placed on the Ascendant, the position of the beginning of the First House. This placed the seven ruling planets in a vertical line in the center of the zodiac. The planet Saturn rules the signs Aquarius and Capricorn at the top of the circle. Midheaven sits between them. The planet Jupiter rules the next two signs from the top, Pisces on the left of the circle and Sagittarius on the right. Jupiter sits just below Saturn in this central hierarchy. The planet Mars, next in line to Jupiter in the solar system, rules the signs Aries on the left and Scorpio on the right. Mars sits below Jupiter in the center. Next comes Venus, ruling Taurus on the left and Libra on the right.

At the fifth level of this axis, the planet Mercury rules Gemini on the left and Virgo on the right. Mercury also rules division as a quality, giving this position the archetypal explosion of creation into a multitude of expressions. Below this, the luminaries, the Moon and the Sun rule one sign each, expressing the creative quality of the complete and manifest division in male and female life, yin and yang. The Moon rules Cancer on the left and the Sun rules Leo on the right. The IC, the bottom part of the zodiac, is between them.

The Father’s ray continues to descend along this mythic mundi axis toward the center of the creative astrological template. As he does so, one seventh of his ray diffuses from each planetary projection center into the creative matrix to mingle with the twelve incoming Mother rays. This creates a lively, dynamic brunette pattern of creative potential. The twelve energies of the Mother mix with the seven energies of the Father creating circular wave patterns that contain all the twelve qualities and knowledge of the Mother and the seven Fathers.

What is now needed to bring them into manifestation is a third ray from the Child to illuminate the moray pattern. The Father’s ray descends to the bottom of the axis mundi and gives life to the Moon and the Sun. These two signs symbolize woman and man, yin and yang within creation. The Mother ray entering through the Cancer and Leo animating portals combines with the Father ray. Man and woman are born on the archetypal level. They are the original hero twins, the Greek sun god Apollo and his sister, the moon goddess, Artemis.

A third ray of light is created which reflects the divine child. The Moon and the Sun emanate from themselves this ray of the Child back to the axis mundi, energizing each of the projection centers of the seven planets. This light then diffuses into the pattern of moray eels that illuminates the pattern, and our universe springs into manifestation, solid and physical, moving, breathing, and loving.

As men and women, we are the Hero Twins in manifest form. We are the Moon and the Sun manifested in human bodies. An important aspect of the holographic universe theory is that human beings are co-creators in our universe. We create happiness or sadness depending on our mental projections, on how we think. According to scientists and others who hold this possibility, we are the third creative ray. But our journey back to the axis mundi of creation is fraught with obstacles. This is the journey of the mythical heroes.

In the East, the spiritual idea that humans have seven chakra centers along our spinal axis is based on this astrological reality. Each of the seven chakras corresponds to each of the seven ruling planets of the twelve gates of heaven. Those who adhere to this point of view report that the chakras, the projection centers, are blocked with various mental attitudes and fears, so that we have great difficulty expressing a more loving universe from our higher centers. At this time we tend to project quite well through our two lower chakras. These centers are centers of survival and struggle, of expression and domination of the ego, qualities of Cancer and Leo.

We meditate and engage in spiritual practices to clear our spinal axis and gain access to our higher projector centers. As we learn to do this with greater purity, we access our ability to send new third beam energies into the creative matrix that will illuminate the moray pattern with higher level creative energies. Once we access the center of the heart, ruled by Venus, the planet of love, we will create a universe of love, compassion, prosperity and happiness. The two lower survival centers will shift to project rays of enriching adventure, the realities of Cancer and Leo working in harmony with Mercury in the third chakra and Venus in the fourth chakra.

If we live in a universe of dreamtime illusion and Maya, of holographic proportions, then astrology becomes the most dynamic and comprehensive mechanism designed for such a creation.
