The 0x800ccc0d error usually occurs if Outlook is unable to detect the presence of an Internet connection. This error can occur in all versions of Outlook.   • Check if the internet connection is available or not. Outlook cannot connect to the server without an Internet connection. Just open any browser and try to open google. If it’s opening, send a test email to yourself. If the email goes, the internet connection is there or else the error message will be displayed.
  • If the login details you entered are incorrect then this error can also appear so you need to check your login details. Follow these steps for it-
  1. Go to the Start option and then go to Run.
  2. Type “Control Panel” on it.
  3. If you have the classic view, double-click the email.
  4. Click “switch to classic view” if the classic view isn’t there, and then double-click the mail.
  5. Click “show profiles” in the mail settings dialog.
  6. The option “When starting Microsoft Office Outlook” will be present. Go to “use this profile” and then click “request” and then click “add”.
  7. Click OK after typing a suitable profile name in the “Profile Name” option.
  8. The “Email Accounts” dialog box will appear. Click “add a new email account”. After that, click next.
  9. Click on the appropriate server type and then click “next”.
  10. Type the precise login details in the boxes and then click “next”.
  11. Finally, click “Finish” and then click “OK” to complete the procedure.

Then send him a test email again, the error will be resolved.
