How to take advantage of nature’s alpha time for prayer

“There are pros and cons to this property,” said the honest real estate agent. “To the north is the gasworks, to the east is a glue factory, to the south is a fish and chip shop, and to the west is a sewage farm. Those are the downsides.”

“What are the advantages?” the prospective buyer asked. “You can always tell which way the wind is blowing,” the agent said.

There are even moments in the dream too, and it’s gratifying to know which way ‘alpha’ is ‘blowing’

Sleep is a very precious treasure. It is a complex activity that has two ideal moments for effective prayer. These moments occur when one is in a state of drowsiness and a kind of trance while falling asleep and just before waking up from sleep. Of the two moments, the one that interests him is the period just before sleep. This is the moment you can have total control over. There is no better time to ‘naturally’ instill your controlled thoughts and feelings related to your heart’s desires into the subconscious mind.

Another factor that makes this time the most favorable for prayer is that your subconscious mind is about to take full control of your consciousness.

Right now, your conscious mind and physical senses are dulled. It is the right time to convey your desires without minimal mental obstacles like doubts. I would agree that this precious time is greatly underutilized.

Many of us are napping addicts and can sleep like logs and sound like sawmills. One science writer put it this way: “When a man is asleep, he is a mother plant. Yet he is not edible, only audible.” Intuitively, this is not the right time to say a prayer.

Two waiters were standing at a table on which a loaded customer had fallen asleep. He said one: “I have already woken him up twice. Now I am going to wake him up for the third time.”

“Why don’t you kick him out?” the other waiter asked.

“I can’t do that,” said the first waiter.

“I have a good thing for me. Every time I wake him up, he pays his bill.”

I guess we have to find a way to make our intentions clear to our temper while we’re not in a state where we’re possibly paying our bills too many times.

The prayer technique to be used here is ‘Active Imagery’. This is one aspect of visualization. Speaking of visualization, my instincts tell me that it’s about time I shed some light on it.

Our physical brains have two main sides: left and right. The left side of the brain deals with logical thinking and language, while the right side of the brain deals with imagination and intuition. That is, the left side of the brain is good at handling words, while the right side is adept at forming mental images.

Visualization involves using the right side of the brain to form mental images and applying your “will power” to hold the images for some time.

Some people see images that are like photographs, while others can see live action all around them. These images can be faint and two-dimensional for some people. On the other hand, others see images that are three-dimensional and solid.

A cross-section of people see their images in black and white, while some may see their images in color or transparent.

Images will normally appear in one of two formats. Things can appear on a screen as if you are watching a movie or they can appear as if you are performing on a real life stage with seemingly real people and objects. You may be seeing an image of yourself in action, or you may feel as if you are actually inside your own body, looking through your eyes, observing the action around you and participating in it. Both formats work, but in terms of speed of sentence manifestation, the latter is the best. This format is what I call ‘Active Imagination’.

Yes, you should feel as if you are actually inside your own body, looking through your eyes, observing the action around you and participating in it.

This book promised to take you by the hand and guide you step by step from rags to riches. Nature is generous and so am I. In addition to the promised benefits, when you complete this study you will also have discovered some hidden talents.

I tested your counting skills during the rhythmic breathing lesson. This time, I’m going to test your scriptwriting and acting skills. You are not panicking; Are you? Well, don’t. Acting is easy and so is writing a script.

I hope you are clear about what you are going to do with the money you have set as your goal. I want you to think about only one event which you can consider taking place when your ‘goal money’ arrives. This event must be one that involves another person or persons. It should be one that involves some kind of conversation.

Let me give you some examples. If you intend to buy a house, you may be able to see yourself driving up to the real estate agent. Taking a seat in your office, looking at catalogs, choosing a house you like, and discussing house prices. Ultimately, you are writing a check or paying cash for a deposit.

If it’s a car, you sure know where to go. You are in the garage examining some cool and fun cars and choosing your choice. He’s finally counting out some crisp new bills on the table for the vendor. You hear these notes crackle and you can smell them. Alternatively, you could write him a check. Finally, you get into our new car and drive away, satisfied.

If you’re not sure exactly what to do with the money, you could be at the bank asking the teller to give you your account balance. She writes it down on a piece of paper for you and you realize that the balance is in line with the “target amount” you set. See what I mean? Be creative and write a charming script that can act comfortably.

You are going to act out the script you write through ‘Active Imagination’ during the alpha state before sleep. So try it out well before you go to bed.

If you have been a dedicated student, I assume that you have already established the following routine:

In the morning, when you wake up, you sit on your bed and take a look at your ‘Goals Album’. This is followed by a Ritual Prayer on the goal you have set. Over the course of the day, she has been holding mental images of her target and also looking at the visual aids she carries in her wallet or purse and in her work bag.

At night before bedtime, you make your ritual prayer on the goal you propose. When you are about to retire, you feel in your bed and review your ‘objective album’, feeling that your goal has already materialized (you have felt like this all day!).

PRACTICE – PRAYER THROUGH ACTIVATING THE IMAGINATION

Now is the time to visit the land of Nod. Some people like to call work in the morning to say something like, “Hey boss. Um um um I slept on my back all night and can’t come in because I feel so ugly.” Well, I can’t take the blame for this, and it won’t help this practice anyway, so please lie on your back. If you sleep on your stomach later and feel ugly in the morning, then you know where to point your finger.

It helps to feel sleepy enough to carry out this practice.

Little Jimmy had finished his nightly prayer and asked his mom what prayers were. His mom told him they were little messages to God. She quickly said, “Oh yeah! And we ship them at night to get the cheapest rates.”

Yes, the fees (effort) are pretty small if you’re sleepy and have reheated your script well enough.

All you have to do is gently fall asleep while you ‘vividly’ interpret your script. You are seeing people and objects in 3 dimensions and true color. You can hear, smell, see and feel through the ears, nose, eyes and emotions of your acting body. Not the body lying on the bed. The stage is the real world, and you are part of it performing. He continues to repeat the act until he falls asleep without problems.

Note: In my long years of practicing Spirituality and Metaphysics, I have noticed that simple and natural practices work best. Whatever you do, don’t dismiss this practice for its simplicity. If done with dedication and diligence, it can positively change your life beyond recognition!
