Tekken 6 – Jin Kazama – Can he become the strongest of all time?

In Tekken 6, Jin Kazama remains once again at the forefront of the game, as he has done since his radical debut in Tekken 3, where he was announced as the son of Kazuya Mishima and grandson of Heihachi Mishima. This brought a lot of tension to the family and since then, betrayal, revenge, and numerous fights have taken place in Tekken history. Jin’s main involvement in this game is trying to stop Heihachi’s plans to take over the world. Afterwards, Heihachi has put a bounty on Jin’s head to try to get rid of him. This narrative has been reflected in Jin’s new costume: a full black tracksuit with a hood. The reason behind this costume is that you now need to stay incognito, and this type of costume will help you sneak around. The costume looks absolutely amazing, and from the moment I saw a video of Tekken 6 Jin Kazama fighting on his new threads, I knew I had to have this set, it made me feel like a kid again.

Jin has been portrayed in some ways as the main protagonist of this game, partly as the underdog and partly as a ‘haunting bad boy’. The modern media critic would call him an “antihero,” something that Clint Eastwood first popularized in Sergio Leonne’s Westerns. Jin’s life is full of tragedies. In addition to his grandfather trying to kill him at every opportunity, his family has the ‘Devil Gene’ inherited, making them permanently on a crash course with evil. The black tattoo / mark on Jin’s arm is a reminder of this, which was given to him by the Devil himself.

For those who have never played Tekken, but have played Street Fighter, one could say that a Tekken 6 Jin Kazama is comparable to Ryu from Street Fighter. They both have stories that touch on similar themes, and both are young masters of their art.
